Old News Letter - Clarification On DKP Looting System

As we move along we refine our DKP system to better tailor it to our guild and the operation of the looting system. Here are a few guidelines for all guildees to understand when entering a raid group.
1. You will earn 100 DKP per Boss Kill and 500 DKP (bonus) for first time Clearing of a Raid instance.
2. Bidding will only take place in a Raid instance after the group has cleared past a pre-decided point. For example in Naxxramas after your group has cleared for two consecutive weeks two wings bidding must be put into place.
3. Gear Base price is 200 DKP. Double the boss kill. A member will not be charged for an item being de’d if the matts are being put into the guild bank.
4. Offset items will be charged base price if they do not go to a bid off.
5. Bidding will begin immediately in 25 man runs. The bid is open for 60 sec’s (this is to speed the process along)
6. All Bids will start no lower than the base price of the gear being bid on.
7. Priority List Items will only go to a bid if more than one member of the Raid Group have the item on their list and the bidding will only be between the priority holders. Please note only 5 items can be on your priority list for you to be able to have a priority claim to any gear. More than 5 items will disqualify you from having access to the list during the raid. If only one member of the raid has an item on priority the item will charge the raid member the base price plus 100 per member of the raid that could have bid on it if it were not a priority. So please make sure you choose your big item upgrades on your lists. Tier gear is not allowed on priority lists as everyone wants their full set of Tier gear.
8. DKP will not be used for special drops – like mounts etc. A pure roll off for these sort of drops will be performed and the winner will get charged 200 base DKP for winning the drop.
9. All winning bids are final and complaining about the outcome is not tolerated. It is what it is. Your turn will come.
10. Moving forward all new members of the guild will have to wait 1 week to begin earning DKP and will have to wait 2 weeks to enter a priority list. There is no reason someone should be allowed to enter progression with you and immediately take a priority item from you. They will have to show dedication to the group first.
11. If you are not sitting at a raider rank or above moving forward. You will not get priority into the group. This will take effect once the mass promotions needed are performed.
